WHO WE ARE

Our Story

Having developed a distinct range of furniture over the last 10 years we have taken a step back in the past 8 months like a lot of small designer/makers and had a fresh look at what is we do.

A new website is key to showcase some new and redeveloped furniture with new materials to appeal to a wider audience.

"The Basics” is the result of this. Firstly is the tweaking of the cable range and the all new “Sputnik" stool/side table.

Affordability is the main aim of "The Basics Range”. This does not however compromise the quality of the design or the materials.

Subtle and simple lines are key to this range. The materials and cable ties give the user the ability to create exciting furniture with
a blend of playful colours of the Valchromat mixed with the subtle balance of the poplar plywood that is the main strength that holds
everything together. I have chosen the poplar plywood over the more widely used birch plywood because it is more suited to the chalky feel of the Valchromat as it is lighter in colour and also 35% lighter in weight.

Our Materials

Our main base material is Poplar Plywood

All the panels in this range are made of poplar veneers, core and faces, these veneers come from controlled and sustainable European plantations.

The product range is available with FSC® or PEFC certification

Our top material is Valchromat.

Available In 4 colours and a natural finish :

  • Light grey

  • Orange

  • Yellow

  • Red

  • Natural Finish

Our Finishes

All furniture is finished with 2 coats of

OSMO Polyx oil

3032 Satin clear

Because of the nature of the valchromat any damage such

as scratches or just general wear and tear over time are very easy to repair with just a fresh wipe over with OSMO. For anything more then sanding and a fresh couple of coats of OSMO is just as simple for a diy-er or novice.

How It's Made

90% of the furniture is created from a CAD drawing and then has a tool path made into CAM so that it can but cut using our in house CNC machine.

Each piece is then sanded and finished in the workshop ready for dispatch to happy customers.
