ABOUT ANTHONY HARTLEY

How We Got Here

Damside Mill

Anthony and Beans live and work in one of the last remaining working mills Haworth.

Both have a love and appreciation of wood and use it in very different ways. Beans is developing his sculptural pieces on a daily basis which can be found

randomly scattered in various corners of the mill or cracks in the sofa.

Supervision and time keeping is another strength that is being developed by Beans, especially when meal times/treats or twice daily walks are required or just a general

check up of progress and to give a helping hand/paw in the workshop.

Anthony is always delighted to find the pile of sawdust that was swept up into a pile now helpfully re-spread around the floor of the workshop.

Damside mill has been restored and worked on over the last 8-9 years and will be reopening its doors by appointment only for now but then hopefully when life is back to

some resemblance of normality we will be opening the gallery as normal.

Alongside the furniture and art of Jo Holland and Sam Shendi there will be a new addition with the upper studio being occupied by local artist and ceramicist Caroline Hudson
